How to assemble ramps for a technical entrance mat
Correct installation is an essential part of the performance of a technical entrance mat.
When a recessed matwell is not available, or when the mat has to be installed directly onto an existing floor, perimeter ramps can be used to create a neat and practical transition between the floor and the entrance mat.
MAT.EN has created a new video tutorial showing how to assemble the ramps of a technical entrance mat, designed for installers, distributors, maintenance professionals and customers.
Easy assembly with numbered components
MAT.EN ramps are supplied ready for assembly.
After removing the individual sections from the packaging, simply match the corresponding numbers, position the components correctly and secure them using the supplied fixing system.
The corners are assembled first, followed by the tubular connecting sections. The same procedure is repeated on each side until the complete perimeter frame is ready.
The finished structure can then be positioned and used with the custom-made MAT.EN technical entrance mat.
Installing an entrance mat without a recessed matwell
Ramp systems significantly increase the installation possibilities of aluminium technical entrance mats.
They are particularly useful where creating a recessed matwell is not possible or when a technical entrance mat needs to be added to an existing finished floor.
MAT.EN manufactures custom-made entrance mats, aluminium profiles, frames, ramps and accessories, selecting the most suitable configuration according to entrance dimensions, pedestrian traffic and flooring requirements.
